Why do we collect personal data?
We know how important it is to you that your personal data is handled carefully. Data is only ever processed for specific purposes in our case a technical necessity to be able to run the apps. Explicitly we do allow you to use false personal information to protect your personal data even more.
What data is collected when services are purchased?
Through the registration of the app:
Our apps allow the sharing and comparing of personal rosters. To allow the app to run we require you to register. There we collect the following:
- Crewmember yes/no
- Name and Surname
- E-Mail-Address
- Employer Airline
- Rank
- Homebase Airport
- Airplanes your flying
- Password (securely stored in Lockbox https://github.com/granoff/Lockbox)
We never check if your entries are valid. You can register with phantasy data.
Through the usage of the app:
If you would like to have your roster shown in the app you need to upload it. All data are stored on your device and also in our database. From your roster we only collect duty events like flights or ground events but never other details e.g. hotels you are sleeping in or other crewmembers you are flying with.
Apple or Google handle all payments you are doing in the apps. We only store the purchase type, time, validity and link them to your user account.
Without „friendships“ you are only able to see your own roster. Nobody can see yours. When you like to share your roster with friends or family you need to be his friend and thus you must send him a friend request. As long as you are friends you both see each other’s roster. Your roster is then stored locally on the device of your friend.
Address-Book: If you would like to have an easier friend search you can let the app compare your address-book against our database. Therefore, we need you to grant the app access to your address book. We only send Names and email addresses to the server to have a possible friends match. We don’t store any information.
What data is processed for marketing purposes?
We don’t use your data for marketing and will only contact you if we think it is important to inform you about a change in our product or due to technical reasons.
What data is processed when our websites are used?
You can visit our internet page without telling us anything about your person. We do not log or track anything on our website.
How are third party tools used?
To be able to optimize the apps we log (timestamp) all interactions of the app with our server.
We do also monitor the apps performance and use a third-party tool to track down errors and bugs. Therefore, we send information necessary for it to this third party: Fabric.io (https://docs.fabric.io/android/fabric/data-privacy.html).
You can track flights in the app on a map. Therefore, we use the Google Maps API (Android & iOS SDK). FollowMe is not collecting live location and Google Maps is only used for the display of the flights (https://developers.google.com/maps/terms).
We are using the google advertisement service through the so-called Firebase Google Mobile Ads SDK to display ads in the app.
What are social plugins and how are they used?
Our apps use social plugins from sites such as WhatsApp. The plugins are marked with the provider’s logo.
If you push onto „tell a friend“ in the app and then onto a logo will inform this third-party company e.g. WhatsApp that you are using our app. It is possible to link the app usage to your personal profile if you are at the same time logged in at this third party with your personal account. It is best if you don’t use the „tell a friend“ feature if you do not want social plugin provider know about you using our apps.

We will only use this and other data provided voluntarily to answer your message as accurately and specifically as possible
How long will your data be stored for?
We store imported roster data in our database to enable the possibility of sharing your data with friends and family. In the app settings you will find an option to delete all roster data. Additionally, we store the original imported files for 3 months secured and encrypted on our server to optimize support.
Your data will be deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected (e.g. as part of a contractual relationship). If there are legal or factual obstacles that prevent us from deleting the data (e.g. legal obligation of safekeeping), it will be made unavailable instead.
What rights do you have in relation to your personal data?
You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
* You can request information about the personal data we have stored
* You can request for your personal data to be rectified, supplemented, blocked or deleted
* If you have set up a user account, you can delete this directly in the apps or have it deleted

Will data be disclosed to third parties?
Your personal data will not be disclosed, sold or transmitted in any other way to third parties unless this is necessary for the purposes of executing a contract or you have granted your express consent.
Data security:
We employ suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect the personal data we store from manipulation, partial or total loss and unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological development.
We will take appropriate precautionary measures to protect your data. However, the transmission of information over the Internet and other electronic means always carries certain security risks and we cannot offer any guarantee as regards the security of information transmitted in this way.
Amendments to this Privacy Policy:
We do not change our Privacy Policy at any time without your consent.

This contract is concluded between FollowMe GmbH and the user of the FollowMe App. Place of jurisdiction of FollowMe GmbH is Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.
In these terms and conditions the FollowMe App is referred to only as FollowMe and the user of the FollowMe App as User. A user can use both our iOS and Android versions of the app.
Our apps are sold by Google and Apple. Purchase contracts are therefore only concluded directly with Google or Apple and never with us. We, in turn, are a contracting party with Apple or Google and never with the end user of the App. It is therefore not possible for us to influence contracts made with Apple or Google with our users.
The apps are distributed in the Google Playstore and Apple's AppStore. FollowMe may be removed from these stores without notice.
Google and Apple tell us about purchases made by individual users. Through a message FollowMe can unlock individual functions. If the app is removed from the stores, the app may no longer be usable. This does not create a legal claim.
FollowMe gets live data from third party providers. We do not take over adhesion for incorrectly supplied or by us incorrectly processed data.
If third party providers discontinue the service, FollowMe can no longer use this data. Open subscriptions can not be refunded by us. Apple and Google are always party to the contract.
It is always possible that an access to the duty roster or the duty roster format of the affected airline changes. If this is the case, we try to adjust the roster readout mechanism. Unfortunately this is not always possible. It is therefore possible that an airline suddenly can no longer be supported. Purchase refunds should be clarified with Google or Apple.
Duty rosters are read out by our apps. We assume no liability for incorrectly read out duty rosters.
We assume no liability for the correctness of the tax evaluation. The user is obliged to check the correctness of his data and evaluations.
If you register for our services you agree to get emails from us. You have always the option of unsubscribe after having received the first one.
